The special mobile phones, which have each of the islander’s names emblazoned on them, are used to set up challenges, dates and bombshell news with text messages and have no access to the internet. While the islanders can also text each other, most of the sexy singletons use their villa phones to snap selfies and take fun videos. And it's now been revealed that many islanders do not get to keep the special phones once they leave the villa, after former contestants Anna Vakili and Amber Gill opened up about their experiences on Love Island. The reality stars both featured on the 2019 series of the ITV2 show, and lifted the lid on what goes on behind the scenes on Love Island during a Q&A session for Closer magazine. The pair were asked whether they got to keep the photos they had taken on their phones during their time on the show. Anna quickly responded: "We didn't get to keep any of the photos that we took," but then Amber, who won the 2019 series with Greg O'Shea, added that she did get to keep her photographs. "I actually got a lot of the photos that we took. Because I got my Samsung phone after I finished. It was part of my, like I got loads of gifts as like a 'winner pack', and I got one of the phones. It had the pictures we took," Amber revealed. This comes as Love Island couples are going to be put to the test with the return of Casa Amor this weekend.

Read More »The villa's iconic flashing neon sign appeared at the end of Thursday night's episode, setting off the countdown until the main villa is split and loyalties are tested. This year's second villa looks more luxurious than ever, with a secluded terrace for islanders to share secret chats and maybe a hidden kiss underneath the classic Casa Amor sign. ITV bosses have massively shaken-up the format this year, sending the girls to Casa Amor instead of the boys at the end of Friday’s episode. The last series where the girls left the main villa was in 2019, with Amber Gill, Molly-Mae Hague, and Maura Higgins on the show at the time. Love Island gave viewers a quick glimpse at some of the new Casa Amor girls and boys who are ready to cause havoc in the main villa during the closing scenes of Friday's episode. In the episode, the girls in the main villa – Gemma Owen, Paige Thorne, Indiyah Polack, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Tash Ghouri and Danica Tayor – were sent a text telling them to get ready to go out for cocktails, but were instead whisked away to the second villa, where they were greeted by a group of sexy new singletons. The boys stayed in the main villa thinking the girls were having a night out, completely unaware of the Casa Amor bombshell coming their way. This series has seen most of the girls in established romances including Tasha with Andrew Le Page, Gemma with Luca Bish, Indiyah with Dami Hope and Paige with Jacques O'Neill.
