Requests for actions include monetary compensation for the damages caused by the infringement of copyright ownership. 4. File the complaint with the federal district court clerk to commence the civil lawsuit. Fill out the summons form at the court clerk's office by indicting the name of the defendant and his addresses. Receive the summons from the court clerk.
