A total of 10 – 15 hours of practice should get you touch typing slowly.
It depends on a number of factors, for example how long you have been using a keyboard and how long have you been typing using your current method. The amount of time you spend practising in the Typequick course and how frequently you practise is also significant. Practising ‘little and often’ (15 -30 minutes a day) works much better than an hour or more once a week. If you practise regularly and don’t give up, you should be able to learn to touch type fluently in 2-3 months, maybe even less. A total of 10 – 15 hours of practice should get you touch typing slowly. Once you are touch typing, spend time practising in Typequick’s speed and accuracy challenges to increase your performance. Once you have learned to touch type with Typequick, switch over to your new touch-typing skill as soon as you can in your everyday use of the computer and stick with it, even if at first you think you are slower than when typing your old way. It won’t take long before your speed and accuracy increases and you reap the benefits from your newly developed skill.
