The song so impossible you need 14 people to play it.

What you're watching here is a group of 14 pianists playing a combo of Night of Nights and Death Waltz, which is bloody impossible for one human to play unless they are able to sprout several extra arms. Death Waltz is widely regarded as an unplayable score created by John Stump as a parody of a composition designed to be impossible for a human with 10 fingers to play. It's supposedly designed to "drive the performer insane" with indications such as "release the penguins".

This is what the sheet music looks like:

Yeah. Righto.

Then Night of Nights is supposedly equally as impossible to perform.

So the team in the video posted to YouTube by AL802 decided to combine them in what would have been the most intense group assignment ever.

Just look at their interchange system – it's bloody nuts.

The result of all that planning is an incredibly complex piece of music performed by 14 people who look like they would absolutely slay it in a heated argument via MSN messenger. The video was uploaded a year ago, but has finally gone viral after being posted to Reddit again yesterday. It may not have had any bass drops or Fatman Scoop yelling into a microphone, but my god was it a banger.

It left viewers, as the kids would say, shook.

"Shortly thereafter the piano caught on fire, the players caught on fire, the auditorium caught on fire, everything caught on fire. There were no survivors," YouTuber Blacksun388 said.

How long is a piano concert?

A customary full-length classical recital contains about 75-80 minutes of music (or 75-80 minutes of combined music and performer speaking) - and has an intermission.

This shorter length concept is often done at the lunch hour, or sometimes in the afternoon. Less often in the evening. A customary full-length classical recital contains about 75-80 minutes of music (or 75-80 minutes of combined music and performer speaking) - and has an intermission. You can play as long as you want in a church setting, but most classical concerts are over in under 2 hours, and if it were over in under 90 minutes, your audience will like you more.
