Out of the seven boys, Jin, Jimin and Jungkook are known by their real names, whereas the other four artists are known by their stage names; Rap Monster, J-Hope, Suga, and V. Formerly, it was a hip-hop group. Later over the years, their musical style included a wide range of genres. Their lyrics emphasize personal and social commentary, and touch on the themes of mental health, issues of school-going youth, loving oneself, and individualism. Their songs often contain messages about problems faced by Korean youth. BTS debuted in 2013 with the single album, 2 Cool 4 Skool. The group quickly became popular in South Korea and won several New Artist of the Year awards. The group is known for their live performances, and world tours. The band has three world tours in just four years, released four studio albums, and five Eps. Today, it is one of the biggest artists' bands in the world, and the most searched boy band in 2019. Establishing Identity: Through phases like School, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, and Wings, BTS developed their sound and developed their identity by incorporating various topics into their music. The band has amassed a huge number of fans all over the world in only four years, however, it was their 2017 Billboard Awards triumph for Top Social Artist that flagged the start of their forward leap in the United States. J-Hope has proven that he can rap while simultaneously winning a national dancing competition in South Korea in 2008. 5) JIMIN Original Name: Ji-min Park Age: 21 Jimin, the vocalist, was one of the top students at Busan High School of Arts where he concentrated on modern dance. He eventually switched to Korea Arts High School with bandmate V after performing for BTS in Daegu. Jimin is well known for his attention to detail and gracious demeanour. 6) V Original Name: Kim Tae-hyung Age: 21 Because the other BTS members were well-known to the public prior to their 2013 debut, V is seen as a surprise band member. The fact that V is an artist despite coming from a rural family is admirable. He has lately begun playing a lead role in the Korean drama Hwarang and greatly appreciates photography and drawing. 7) JUNGKOOK Original Name: Jeon Jeong-guk Age: 20 The age of Jungkook was just 15 years when BTS made their debut. He began secondary school a year after so he could focus on the band (he graduated this February). In spite of being the band's most youthful and youngest member, Jungkook became perhaps the most sought-after artist in the wake of trying out for Superstar K in South Korea, and he, at last, decided to sign with Big Hit Entertainment.
