Smells Like Teen Spirit is the opening track and first single from Nirvana’s second album ‘Nevermind’. It is often quoted as being the song that brought grunge to the mainstream. Kurt Cobain stated that when writing the song he was trying to imitate one of his favorite bands – The Pixies.
