Mayim Bialik, like any child from a Jewish family, was not used to being idle. She put in a lot of work on set, but she also worked hard in school, earning a good high school diploma. The gifted young woman opened doors to prestigious universities like Yale and Harvard, but she did not want to live apart from her family, so she decided to continue her education at the University of California.

After finishing Blossom and receiving her diploma from North Hollywood High School, Bialik enrolled at UCLA where she received a BSc in neuroscience with minors in Hebrew and Jewish studies.
