The rumour mill online has been speculating that Korean pop band BTS’s member Taehyung is colour blind. Netizens have also speculated even though he is colour blind, it is not that bad to the point that it will have impact on his daily life. It was reported that Taehyung suffers from ‘monochromatic blindness’ meaning he could only see shades of gray and it’s like seeing the world through an old black and white television screen. However, there is no news when he started to have colour blindness or if it only happened to one of his eyes and also whether he got it when he was a kid or teen.

Some fans dispelled the rumours, saying that he is not colour blind.

There are three different types of colour blindness and subtypes but none of which apply to him, according to a fan. There are fanfiction online about it but Taehyung himself did not speak colour blindness. The rumour about Taehyung being colour blind started out of nowhere and there is no reason why it was sparked. Whether he is colour blind or not does not affect his career as a singer/dancer/songwriter/record producer and actor. BTS is a South Korean boy group formed in 2013 and Taehyung, known by his stage name V is one seventh of the group. BTS started out as a hip hop group but over time their musical style evolved to include a variety of genres. Their lyrics often focused on personal and social commentary, touch on the themes of mental health, troubles of school-age youth, loss, the journey towards loving oneself, and individualism. Their work features references to literature and psychological concepts and includes an alternative universe storyline.

Popular for their live performances, the group have staged several world tours.

Listening to classical music has not been shown to improve intelligence in children or adults. In fact, researchers have found that young children who watch classical music-based television learn fewer words, just as children who watch regular television do.

FALSE

In 1993, a small study showed that college students who listened to a Mozart sonata and then took an IQ test got higher spatial scores than those who didn’t. But this so-called “Mozart effect” wore off in less than 15 minutes and researchers disagree on the mechanisms behind it.
