Every piano has a wooden soundboard on the interior of the piano that is almost like the heart of the instrument. This is where the sound reverberates and the beautiful music is created. Wood is elastic in character and can either expand or shrink depending on the environment that it is in. If your piano is exposed to higher temperatures, the wood will expand.
