Just yesterday, Alia was spotted in Mumbai and was massively trolled for not attending the wedding. It’s not a hidden fact that Alia is dating Katrina’s ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and people were quick enough to judge Alia on the basis of their dynamics. People went on to say that Katrina might not have even invited her. Well, it’s not because of Ranbir that Alia gave her BFF’s wedding a miss. Alia had to leave the wedding because she had to attend the trailer launch of RRR. A close source to the Dear Zindagi actress told Bollywood Life, “Alia Bhatt was invited by both Vicky and Katrina and was also very keen on attending the wedding in Ranthambore, however, she had already given her dates to be a part of the RRR trailer. Sadly, the launch was delayed by a few days and is happening now and so Alia couldn't help but miss the wedding.”

Well, the rumours can now rest in peace.

Alia has been making headlines for her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor. The two are said to be dating each other for the last few years and are set to get hitched next year. Alia and Ranbir are said to have fallen for each other on the sets of Brahmastra almost four years back. In an exclusive interview with Filmfare, Bhatt had disclosed the exact moment when she knew that Kapoor was the man for her. “When I met him for the first time in my life. Again, let me tell you he’s not difficult. He’s a supremely simple person. He’s such a nice human being that I wish I was as good as him. As an actor, as a person, I like everything. He’s a way better person than I am,” she had said. She went on to add, “It’s not a relationship. It’s a friendship. I’m saying this with all genuineness and honesty. It’s beautiful. I’m walking on stars and clouds right now. The best part is that we’re two individuals, who are living our own professional lives in their full form right now. He’s shooting continuously. So am I. It’s not a situation where you’ll see us constantly together. That’s the true mark of a comfortable relationship. Nazar na lage. In fact, there’s a beautiful book titled My Brilliant Friend. Ranbir’s my brilliant friend.” As per the latest buzz, the couple will walk down the aisle in April 2022.
