This can result in overworked employees and even lawsuits if disgruntled employees feel they have been taken advantage of. It is important that you know your rights and responsibilities as an employer or an employee so that you can protect yourself and your company. The second says that you can’t work for more than 48 hours per week, meaning you couldn’t do more than four 12-hour shifts in a row.
